Yesterday, my second book Beginning Google Web Toolkit: From Novice To Professional was officially released!

Me and my co-authors Uri Boness and Roald Bankras spend this last year writing this book. The book is targeted at Java developers that want to start using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to build more intuitive web-based applications. I personally feel that the book provides a good introduction and shows you how to quickly get started using GWT.
Obviously I’m looking forward to your opinions and reviews!!

As already mentioned in the book, we would like to thank all our collegues at JTeam for their support. And specifically Tom van Zummeren en Jelmer Kuperus for submitting valuable content for chapter 8. Last, we would also like to thank everyone at Apress who helped this book to see the light.

This book, originally initiated by Steven Devijver and originally titled ‘Beginning Spring 2: From Novice to Professional’, has been renamed to ‘Building Spring 2 Enterprise Applications’. It is targeted at people that are relatively new to J2EE / Java EE and want to learn how to use Spring to build robust enterprise applications.

I am very much looking forward to your reviews. Personally I really like chapter 4 which goes into the details of Spring AOP and AspectJ support in Spring 2.0. I hope you have fun reading it!

Use the skeleton if you want to easily get start using GWT in combination with Spring.
Please note that you need to install GWT 1.4 to run these samples and setup your project correctly.
Most importantly, you need to add the GWT jars (except the benchmark one) to your classpath.

If you have any questions running the samples, feel free to contact me!
Hope this will help you get started using GWT.
